Col. Matias Farias, United States Air Force (Ret.)

A founder of Strategic Resource Group, the Hazelwood predecessor company, in 1992, and lead Director of a key United States government intelligence agency responsible for Latin America, Mat serves as Executive Managing Director and Director of Intelligence Resources. He manages a full intelligence staff augmented by open and closed source resources.

Senior Consultant and General Counsel

A licensed attorney with over 30 years field experience in intelligence, political, government risk, and kidnap for ransom and extortion response has operational responsibility for Hazelwood Street’s response operations as Senior Consultant and General Counsel. His identity is protected as he continues to manage field assignments.

Senior Managing Director

A recently retired Senior Special Agent for the U.S. Department of State’s Diplomatic Security Service, with a full range of security and law enforcement management and operational experience in all parts of the globe, is the Senior Managing Director for global evacuation and response support. His identity is protected as he continues to manage field assignments.

Assistant Professor of Psychiatry – University of Miami

A world-renowned eminence in post-traumatic stress disorder. He serves along with a full cadre of graduate fellows assisting in research into how best to serve our clients and victims. Rene also brings us a number of post-doctoral students, intent upon working on cutting edge developments in our field. Their work assists us in understanding and executing the dynamics of cross-cultural and interdisciplinary negotiating tactics.

He is joined by the first female dual Masters degree holder, who will be acting as an integral part of the training and response team, having substantial experience in mental health and marriage and family therapy; tools essential in assisting the response team, the client corporation and/or family as well as victim deal with these traumatic events.

Managing Director and Corporate Vice President

A former assistant Department of Homeland Security Attaché, subsequently Director of Operations, leads the investigative consulting group as Managing Director and Corporate Vice President.

Psychiatry-Consulting
