Col. Matias Farias, United States Air Force (Ret.)
A founder of Strategic Resource Group, the Hazelwood predecessor company, in 1992, and lead Director of a key United States government intelligence agency responsible for Latin America, Mat serves as Executive Managing Director and Director of Intelligence Resources. He manages a full intelligence analysis staff augmented by MILSPEC open and closed source resources.
Senior Consultant and General Counsel
A licensed attorney with over 30 years field experience in intelligence, political, government risk, and kidnap for ransom and extortion response has operational responsibility for Hazelwood Street’s response operations as Senior Consultant and General Counsel. His identity is protected as he continues to manage field assignments.
Senior Managing Director
A recently retired Senior Special Agent for the U.S. Department of State’s Diplomatic Security Service, with a full range of security and law enforcement management and operational experience in all parts of the globe, is the Senior Managing Director for global evacuation and response support. Managing Director Assistant Professor of Psychiatry – University of Miami
A world-renowned eminence in post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). This Managing Director serves along with a full cadre of graduate fellows assisting in research into how best to serve our clients and victims. He also manages a number of post-doctoral students, intent upon working on cutting edge developments in our field. Their work assists us in understanding and executing the dynamics of cross-cultural and interdisciplinary crisis management and kidnap and ransom negotiating tactics, as well as the treatment of our clients during and after a crisis event.
Managing Director Department Director – Trauma Psychiatry
A practicing psychiatrist also trained in trauma surgery, she now practices trauma and forensic psychiatry at one of the largest teaching hospitals in the country, and is a Managing Director at Hazelwood Street Consultants, LLC. With substantial experience in mental health and marriage and family therapy and an extensive PTSD practice focusing on Veterans,she brings tools essential in assisting the response team, the client corporation and/or family as well as victim deal with these traumatic events.
Director Private Client Group
A former acting Special Agent in Charge, and Assistant Special Agent in Charge of a federal law enforcement agency with regional responsibilities, following international service as well as senior domestic postings, he focuses on managing our Family practice.
